HTTP Options
The "HTTP options" tab contains the following controls:
- "Connection settings" control set contains controls for
adjusting HTTP connection settings such as:
- "Direct connection" option determines whether the program has to
access HTTP communities directly. This value is default.
- "Use HTTP proxy" option determines if the program uses HTTP proxy
server to access HTTP communities. To use HTTP proxy server you have to fill
the following fields:
- Type in "Server name or IP address" edit field name or IP address
of your HTTP proxy server.
- Set correct port number in "Port" field. Default value is 8080.
- If your HTTP proxy server requires authentication you have to mark on
"Authentication required" checkbox and type your username and password in
corresponding fields below.
- "User agent" field determines the name which the program
uses to identify itself in remote host. Default value is "Mozilla/4.0
(compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows XP".
