Notification Window

Notification window is intended for instant notification once new posts are detected. It contains information summary and several controls for single-click access for the functions you may want to use once you're notified. It automatically pops-up when new posts are detected. The other ways by which this window can be accessed are selecting View > Show recent post updates main menu item or pressing Ctrl+Alt+S (Both this methods are usable only if any new posts are detected within current session).

Notification window looks like the one displayed on the screenshot #1 . The top panel contains following elements (from left to right):

  • "Reply to group" button can be used to send reply directly to the group.
  • "Reply to sender" button is similar to the previous one except that "Reply To" variable string will be added at the beginning of your post. When working with usenet newsgroups pressing on this button will create new message using default e-mail client.
  • "Reply with quote" (optional) button is intended for replying with quotation.
  • Label which displays item count of recent post updates list and current position in this list.
  • Four list navigation buttons can be used to switch to first, previous, next and last item correspondingly.
