Main window 

The items in the main window are: 

• Title bar for displaying the name of the program. Double-clicking the title bar maximizes and restores the window. 

• Menu bar for providing access to all of the Express NewsPictures command menus. You display a menu by clicking on it or by pressing its accelerator key. The accelerator key is the ALT key plus the key for the underlined letter in the menu name. 

• Toolbar for providing access to main functions of Express NewsPictures. The buttons in the toolbar are:  

	Connect to the news server
	Stop current action
	Retrieve all pictures from the selected newsgroup
	Refresh newsgroup content
	Add the selected newsgroup to favorites
	Shrink the selected image to fit in the preview window
	Set the current image as wallpaper
	Run the viewer to view images in the selected newsgroup
	Next image
	Previous image
	Options
	Start Slide show
	Search for newsgroups

• Status bar for displaying current action info. 

• Progress bar for displaying progress of the current action. 

• Newsgroup list for displaying available newsgroups (see Newsgroup list section for details). 

• Picture list for displaying available pictures (see Picture list section for details). 

• Preview window for viewing the selected image.
