HTTP Connection

By default Right Web Monitor uses the default HTTP connection properties stored in the system registry. If you want to change these properties you may change the options described below.

"Use Socks Proxy" - mark this checkbox if the program should use a proxy server.

"Proxy host name or IP address" - use this edit field to specify the proxy server's name or IP address. You can specify either proxy server's network name (like PROXY1) or its IP address (like 192.168.1.2).

"Proxy port" - determines the port on which the proxy server is set up (1080 by default).

Select your proxy server's version from the "Socks proxy version" drop-down list (usually it is Socks4).

"Username (login)" - enter here the user name used to authenticate you on the proxy server. Supported only by the Socks5 proxy.

"Password" - specify the password to access the proxy server. Supported only by the Socks5 proxy.

Specify the user agent you want to report to the host server using the "User agent" drop-down list. You can manually enter a custom user agent name or select a predefined one. You may need to change the user agent name because some servers allow to access their contents only if the user agent's name contains the "Mozilla compatible" string.
