Main Menu
Main menu provides access to the
most important functions of the program. Look for description of its items
below:
- "File" submenu contains such external files-related menu items as:
- "Import" submenu contains menu items which let you import links from external sources.
- "Internet Explorer Favorites" menu item brings up "Internet
Explorer Favorites" window from which you can drag'n'drop links into the
Folders view.
- "From file" menu item brings up "Import from file"
wizard which lets you import links from external files (html and text
documents, RWM files).
- "Export" submenu contains menu items which let you export links
to external files.
- "Export selected link..." menu item brings up "Save As" dialog
to save the selected (in Links view)
link to an external file.
- "Export all the links..." menu item brings up "Browse for
Folder" dialog to select the destination folder where all the links will
be saved as single RWM files.
- "Edit Snapshot window template" item opens

(snapshottpl.htm) in default HTML editor.
- "Hide to tray" item hides Right Web Monitor in the system tray.
- "Exit" (Alt+F4)
- closes the program.
- "Links" submenu contains various links-related menu items, so to
get most of menu items enabled a link should be selected in the
Links view.
- "New link" (Alt+N) menu item
brings up "New link" wizard which lets you add new links.
- "Open selected link in browser" (Ctrl+O)
menu item opens the selected link in the default web browser.
- "Delete selected links(s)" (Del)
item deletes the selected links(s) after you confirmation.
- "Download" (Ctrl+D) menu item
downloads content of the selected link from a remote server and saves it on
your hard drive (into the folder specified in the
"Default download folder" field).
- "Stop current action" item stops current action
performed with
the selected link.
- "Check up selected link" (Ctrl+Alt+C)
item performs checking of the selected link.
- "Check up all the links" item puts all the links into the queue
in order to check them up one-by-one.
- "Check up all links in this folder" menu item puts all the links
from the current folder into the queue in order to check them up one-by-one.
- "Copy" (Ctrl+C) - copies the
selected link to the clipboard.
- "Cut" (Ctrl+X) - copies the
selected link to the clipboard and removes it from the current location.
- "Paste" (Ctrl+V) - pastes
a link from clipboard to the current folder. If a link with the same URL
already exists in the current folder the program will create another link
with the same URL.
- Pro:"View Document copies archive..." menu item brings up
the
Archiver window to show document copies
archive.
- Pro:"Generate Monitoring Report" item brings up
the
Reporter window to generate monitoring report
for the currently selected item.
- Pro:"View last Follow Links details..." generates report
(in HTML format) for the last
Follow links poll of the
currently selected item. Report contains details about all
processed/added/deleted links.
- "Properties" (Alt+Enter) brings up
"Link Properties" dialog.
- "View" submenu contains menu items which control appearance of
various main window parts or other parts
of user interface with adjustable visibility.
- "Show QuickInfo pane" - shows\hides QuickInfo pane (bottom-left
frame of the main window)
- "Show Bottom pane" - shows\hides Bottom pane (bottom-right frame
of the main window)
- "Show Drop Basket" (Ctrl+Alt+S)
- shows\hides Drop Basket.
- "Show Snapshot window" (Ctrl+Alt+T)
- shows\hides the Snapshot
window.
- "Tools" submenu contains menu items which let you call several
miscellaneous functions of the program.
- "Suspend" menu item enables\disables Suspended state. Suspended
state means that auto-checking of all scheduled links is temporarily turned
off. It is possible to turn Suspended state at the program startup - to do
so just add /SUSPENDED key in the
command line when calling the program.
- "New folder" - creates new virtual folder in the
Folders view.
- "Delete selected folder" - permanently deletes the current
folder and all its content.
- "Rename selected folder" renames the current folder.
- "Search" (Ctrl+F) brings up
"Search links" dialog to search links
which conform specified criteria.
- "Edit default link properties..."
(Ctrl+Alt+E) brings up "Default Link Properties"
dialog which lets you configure common link properties which will be assigned to all
newly added links.
- "Options..." (F10) brings up
"Options" dialog.
- "Help" submenu contains user's manual\support menu items.
- "About" item shows the "About" dialog.
- "Index" opens Right Web Monitor User's Guide index.
- "Contents" opens Right Web Monitor User's Guide Table of
Contents.
- "Send e-mail" initiates your default mail client to create a letter to
our Support Team.
- "Right Web Monitor on the Web" opens
"Right Web Monitor on the Web"
link in your default browser.
- "Check for new version" opens online script which tells you
whether you're using the latest version of the program.
