SMTP Connection
SMTP server is required for Right Web Monitor to be able to send notification letters.
By default Right Web Monitor uses the default SMTP connection properties stored in the system registry. If you want to change these properties you may
modify the options described below.
- "Port" determines the port used by your SMTP server (port 25
by default).
- "Outgoing mail server (SMTP)" specifies your SMTP server
name or IP address. You can specify either SMTP server host name (like
smtp.yourprovider.com) or its IP address (like 192.168.1.2).
- "Autorization required" specifies whether your SMTP server
requires authorization.
- Specify your user name in the "Username (login)" edit field if
your SMTP server requires authorizartion.
- Specify password in the "Password" edit field if your SMTP
server requires authorizartion.
- Enter your e-mail address in the "Your e-mail" edit field
to fill the notification letter's "FROM" header.
Note: some SMTP servers may refuse notification letters if they don't
contain correct "FROM" field. Also ensure that your anti-spam filter
is configured
to accept notification letters from Right Web Monitor.
