Example - Smart Content Analysis: Monitoring
Keywords Within Certain Region.
This example shows you how to set up Right Web Monitor to monitor desired
keywords within the certain region.
Let's presume that you want to monitor
RightSoft.com news and want to
be notified only if the news are related to Right Web Monitor. To correctly configure the
program for such purpose, please follow the steps below:
| 1.
Create a new link with URL equal to
http://www.right-soft.com/news/ . |

| 2. Edit
its properties and open "Analysis"
page on the dialog appeared. Select "Smart Content Analysis" switch,
then select default condition and press the "Edit..." button. See

| 3. On
the dialog appeared select "Analyse specified fragment" switch and
type <!-- LastNews --> into the "Initial
fragmnet" field and <!-- /LastNews --> into
the "Ending fragment" field as shown on the screenshot #2.
Press the "OK" button. |

| 4. On
the "Link properties" dialog press
the
"Add..." button as show on the screenshot #3. |

5. On the dialog appeared select the "Look up for specified keyword"
switch and type +"Right Web Monitor" into the
"Keywords" edit field. Then mark on the "Look for keywords only within"
checkbox and type %SELECTEDFRAGMENTS% into the edit
field below. The dialog should look like the one on the screenshot #4.
Press the "OK" button. |

6. Mark on the "Mark as Modified only when all the conditions are satisfied"
checkbox and press the "OK" button. |

Configuration is complete. Now when the program detects changes in text
between <!-- LastNews --> and <!--
/LastNews --> fragments and if this text contains "Right Web Monitor"
phrase the resource will be presumed changed.
This simple example uses only two analysis conditions and one
program variable yet it is quite precise and
effective. Using such program features you can create your own analysis rules,
smarter and more complex than one described in this example.
