Main Window

Main window of Right Web Monitor contains the following areas:

• Main menu provides you access to the most important functions of the program.
• Toolbar lets you get quick and easy access to the most important functions of the program.
• Folders View control contains hierarchically ordered virtual folders that serve as convenient storage for all links. This control has a context menu that lets you quickly perform actions on virtual folders.
• Links view control contains all links stored in the current folder. This control has a context menu that lets you quickly perform actions with the links.
• QuickInfo pane provides brief information about the most important properties of the selected link. You can show or hide the pane by checking/unchecking the "View | Show QuickInfo pane" main menu item. QuickInfo pane contains the following elements:
• "Status" field contains information about the link status.
• "Last check" field contains the date/time of the last link check.
• "Next check" field contains date/time when the link is checked next time.
• "Last modified" field provides information about the resource modification date/time. If the resource is a dynamically generated page the last modification date/time detected by the program will be displayed here.
• "Size" field provides information about the resource size (in bytes and in short form).
• "Description" field contains long description of the link. If the links summary string is not empty and the "Options | Viewing | Show Summary in QuickInfo pane" option is enabled, the program will show the summary in it.
• Bottom pane contains several pages which provide you various informaion related to the link selected in the Links view. You can show/hide this view by checking/unchecking the "View | Show Bottom pane" main menu item. This pane can contain following pages:
  • Log page provides access to program log. This page has a context menu that lets you work with the log.
  • Local copy page appears only when selected (in Links view) link is of http:// or https:// type, uses Exact Content Analysis or Smart Content Analysis and has been checked at least once. This page contains local copy of the resource which has been saved from the last time the link has been successfully checked.
  • Last changes highlight page appears only when selected (in Links view) link is of http:// or https:// type, uses Exact Content Analysis or Smart Content Analysis, has "Highlight changes" feature enabled and has been checked at least once after enabling this feature. This page contains highlighted changes between two last snapshots which have been saved from the last time changes have been detected in the resource (the new one and the previously saved).
  • Syndication page appears only when selected (in Links view) link is of http:// or https:// type and uses RSS feed processing check method. This page contains built-in RSS reader controls.
  • FTP folder list page appears only when selected (in Links view) link is an FTP folder. This page contains list details of the folder and information about new/changed files or(and) folders.
  •  Mail box page appears only when selected (in Links view) link is a POP3 mail box. This page contains list of mail box content.
  • Downloading changed files page appears only when selected (in Links view) link is an FTP folder, "Download changes file(s)" action turned on and new/changed files have been detected. This page contains download queue and controls to manage it.
