Request

The "Request" page contains the following controls:

• "Use single request" switch determines whether the program uses single request when it checks the resource.
• "Single request" control set contains such controls as:
  • "Use POST request" checkbox determines if the program uses POST request when it checks the resource. Otherwise it will use GET request. Such option makes sense only when "Exact Content Analysis" or "Smart Content Analysis" switch is selected (when the "Resource Size/Date/Time comparing" switch is selected the program ALWAYS uses HEAD request). The edit field contains text to be used by the POST request¹.
  • Use "Custom referrer" edit box to specify a custom referrer to pass to the remote server (some servers will not let you access the specified resource if the referrer information does not meet their criteria).
• "Use multiple request script" switch determines if the program uses multiple requests to get to the destination resource.
• "Multiple Request Script" control set contains such controls as:
  • List view wich contains general request representations. Consists of two columns - "Method" (POST/GET) and "Parameter" (URLs of requests).
  • "Rec." button brings up Multiple Request Script Recorder which is intended to automate script creation process.
  • "Add step..." button brings up "Script step" dialog to create a new step manually.
  • "Edit step..." button brings up "Script step" dialog to edit properties of the selected step.
  • "Delete step" button deletes the selected step.
