Creating and Setting Schedule Presets
To add a new preset click the "New Preset" button below the "Presets List".
You can modify preset name by double clicking it in the "Presets List" and
inputing a new name. The selected preset is represented in the grid. Hours
currently included into the preset are marked by green color. Mark several hours
and click "Check" to create an interval and add it to the preset. Time intervals
can be modifyed, merged or unchecked.
To set specific preset start time, use the grid to select intervals you'd
like to edit and set "Starts at" to the desired time. You can also set time of
ending preset's work by modifying "Ends" value.
Parameters "Frequency" and "Metric" are used for setting frequency of
preset's activation. For example, if you want your test to be activated every
minute, set "Frequency" to "1" and "Metric" to "Minutes".
To apply the changes and exit the dialog click "OK" button.
Example of scheduling profile creation:
Lets create a preset that will activate a test every Tuesday and Wednesday
from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. The preset will be activated every half an hour on
Tuesday and every 15 minutes on Wednesday.
Add a new preset.
Mark 9 AM Tuesday and drag the selection to 6:00 PM Wednesday. Click "Check"
button and without dropping the selection set "Starts at" value to "9:30" AM.
After that drop the selection and click on the first interval, for example, on
10:00 AM Tuesday. Set "Frequency" to "30" and "Metric" to "Minutes". Click
"Apply to Interval" button. Now click the Wednesday interval and set "Frequency"
to "15" and "Metric" to "Minutes". Click "Apply to Interval" button.
We have created time intervals that start at the same time, but have
different frequency. We can also set different frequency of preset intervals by
adding several intervals for one day and modifying parameters.
